Review on Jonsson Protein Healthy Hair Growth

Time:10.33pm.

Finally I'm sitting on my couch after shower, cool down and just feel like want to write this review.
I prefer to write it in story. haha

Story as below

Today, I went for my scalp treatment at Jonsson Protein. Reached at about 545pm. Did what I need to do : scalp treatment.

However, after treatment (which ended at about 745-8pm), the consultant brought me into the consultation room to let me see the result after ~15 sessions of treatment which started August 2013 till now (march 2014).

Not long after that, she tried to persuade me to sign up for another 10+5 sessions which cost ~SGD1350
-the deal is actually 10 sessions
-free 5 sessions (as I'm so called the 'old customer which is progressing'...pui!)
-free Jonsson products that worth SGD ~238

Of course, I listened to her as usual. At the end, just told her frankly that I do not wish to continue the treatment as I do not see the results that is up to my expectation. (in my mind I'm thinking, maybe just that the product just don't suit me, or I didn't go for weekly treatment as they suggested). I repeated at least 2 times, saying that "I just want to finish the remaining sessions that I signed up (~4-5times) then I wish to stop. Reason being, I'm not very convince with the result that I see.

Tadah~ Here comes the HARD SELL method. She explained:
-now I'm at the 'regrowth' stage of the treatment, if I stopped right now, all my money/effort will be wasted
-they fight for me to get a cheaper price 10+5 sessions for SGD1350 and if I never sign up, the results will not be up to my expectation.

The first consultant didn't manage to convince me. That time it was about 850pm. I thought she is going to let me go. Who knows that another consultant came in and talked to me. WTH. Again, she tried her very best to persuade me to sign up the 'promotional package'.

These are some of my replies:
- I went through 15 sessions, I have another 4-5 sessions left, make up a total of 20 sessions that I'll be having.
- 15 sessions, I'm not satisfied with the result, that's why I wish to stop.
- What's the point for me to sign up another 10+5 sessions to make up a total of 35 sessions which cost around SGD 3750 just to prove that your product is just not the one that I want? (FYI: I paid SGD 588 + 588 + 600 + 600 )
- I understand you are trying to explain the importance to go through all the stages to see the results, but hello, I also explained frankly that if I (as consumer) wish to let go/give up, it's my choice.

She is rather 'stubborn'. Just like how she describe my pores which are stubborn and that's why the hair growth is slow/not obvious. During the conversation, she wished to know the feedback, saying that feedback is good so that they can improve their services etc etc. Most of the time, I got no chance to speak, as whatever I say, they will just find ways to prove that I'm just so wrong

At 913pm, I just burst out of frustation. You want feedback? Ya here is my feedback and the story goes like this

"You, too hard sell. I've told you that I don't want to continue. But you never let me go. See now what time it is? I reached here before 6pm, now it's already 9pm+, I haven't take my dinner. This is hard sell. "

She seemed a bit stunt, then politely asking me when I want my next appointment to be.

"You make me don't feel like want to come back again. Forget about the appointment". Then I just leave the damn stupid place immediately.

Before I leave, I heard she said "I'll call you again for your next appointment". Ha! Forget it, don't feel like I want to walk into that place again and let you all hard sell your package again. Don't even think that you will be able to contact me as I changed my number.

Honestly, I'm just damn pissed off right now. Probably because I wasted to much time just in that place (at least 3hours), I'm tired, I'm sleep and I'm HUNGRY! And while I'm typing now, I'm having my 'dinner'. Biscuits and milo. Stupid people.

Why cant they just stopped when I already repeated at least 3x that I do not wish to continue to 2 consultants? Why do I have to listen to their talk twice and I have to repeat my decision so many times? Why you want to make your customer upset/frustrated?

Actually, I never blame on them that I never really see the result that I want as I never really compliant to their advice : weekly treatment, daily hair wash (I wash alternately thou), complete whole set of treatment programme which is more than 30 sessions.

Just that I do not want to continue further. DO NOT WANT TO CONTINUE FURTHER. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME????!! damn it!!!

Finally I left that place with frustration. You want feedback right? Here they go.
1. unprofessional staffs.
-Just simply apply the ampoule on scalp
-simply do some massage which is sometimes painful as they use their finger tips rather than finger pad
-wash your hair and 'splash' the water on your face (not the right word to use but my brain just stopped functioning due to my anger!!!). This one shouldn't be happening!

2. poor management
-insufficient staffs but they still take on so many appointments which cause you have to wait. I waited up to 2 hours or more to complete my whole treatment. Ya I understand that it maybe because my hair is long. But so what? I still need to wait for people to serve me. Which sometimes I sit there up to 30 minutes waiting.
-I have to say that the service in Plaza Singapura branch is worse than the branch in White Sand. Originally I attended to White Sand branch as Plaza Singapura branch is not open yet. I need to travel 1 hour to reach there. But I managed to finish my treatment for 1hour 15 minutes to 1.5hour. Not like the Plaza Singapura branch, as in average it took 2hours to complete everything.

3. Break promise?
- as I'm financially tight, they allowed me to pay the money separately as long as I'm still continue my treatment. Guess what? My next session they request for the remaining money as they said the management questioned them why this customer is not paying in full.

Don't tell me about your free hair cut service which I don't give it a shit!

Just so angry today!! AAARRRHHHH!! stupid fellows that spoilt my day and I'm damn tired. Definitely won't step into this 'dark shop' again. Considered that I donate the remaining 4-5 sessions left to you.!!
Just finished with my 'dinner'. Good night everyone.

p/s: I know that I'm writing this with 'anger mode'. Some of the things may sound stupid to you. But, I just don't care.

As per hair specialist, it takes at least 4-12 months to see result, not within 1 months, but in JP, they start frightening u almost every sessions telling u that you need stronger dose of essence and have to pay another $2k++, if u don't, u will regret becos' there are some pore are going to die soon... it makes u panick! Some pores may take times to heal and grow at the later stage.. later sessions, they will show u some leftover baby hair from basin and ask u to buy protein drink... expecting that's not the end... later ask u to extend your package and never ends.... it could range from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars.... throwing your hard-earned money in JP.... why not try DIY?

  5. It sounds very similar experience . After 3 years on Yun Nam package spent almost SGD10K. Grow 2 strains drop 3 strains.
    finally i drop tge Yun Nam for good.
    I take supplement for overall health , take seaweed for minerals , Crowning glory for hair specific supplement , use only natural hair dye, take things more lightly to reduce stress, use hair tonic... seems all hair tonic works, just that need consistency, always wash hair gently,no conditiner touching scalp ( which is not easy task).

    After 3 months , Not extreme improvement but patches and gap getting smaller , slow but progressing without the trouble of wasting time and money at this salon.

    I took photo of my hair top every week to compare.

    Back to nature...everything depends on ourself to create result.

  7. I'm going to finish up my treatment. I signed up at Lot 10 KL. Unprofessional staff. Amateur treatment (on hair and overall). Even if you're cash tight, they wouldn't care. Forget about signing up.

  10. You are considered lucky. So cheap for 35 sessions. I paid a total of SGD7584.16 for 30 session only. It would be my 8th session this week. Can do nothing now but to continue. Expecting never ending add-on.... How do you think? Am I stupid?

    1. They frighten u with those baby hair... those hair were curly (about 12 hairs) and mine bent and straight, how can that be my hair? I compare it at home myself.. at home, i dun see curly baby hairs but 3 straight hairs about 40-50mm length.... luckily, i didnt get conned by them....

  12. Never stop selling... shown me the baby hairs collected from basin after washing.. u know what? I done it at another salon and it does not have baby hair. Those hair they shown me was curly and mine is little bent and straight. Taking somebody hairs to frighten u... ayway.. did not get con lah!

  13. All they wanted are money so that they can share... the cost of the products are actually very cheap.... before they told u that no matter how much protein u take, it cannot be absorded to the hair... now they claimed that you have to buy the protein drink from them and drink everyday... ???

    2. Good evening,actually I am also being persuaded to get the 10 session about two months ago. My story started from a trial (2 times), I went for the first time and the service is just....not feeling as good as professionals but since at that time I really concerned about my hair fall condition so I just believed the staff's word: my scalp condition is so bad and have something growing that leads to severe hair fall in future.Then,I believe that.Then,she said can let me pay seperately, each time 200++,pay for 5 times.
      For the second time she didn't tell me the trial already over and just do the treatment, then she said if I do not want to continue the treatment package need to pay Rm 600 for that treatment! So I just book for the treatment package...But then after I change my hair shampoo, you know what ,a bit better. I wonder can I just cancel the treatment... I already paid almost 2/5, feel like being tricked.Will she charged me more?

  17. Hi all, I have been doing my treatment at Jonsson Protein. Been awhile le. Something share with everyone. I been doing all kind of treatment in the pass but no results. After doing at Jonsson. I have no more dandruff and my hair line is not as last time so empty. I don't mind to spent as long I can see the result. All I can said it take 2 hands to clap. For me I will 1st see the service. 2nd I will see the result. Before I went to Jonsson I did read at you blog. And now I have the service and my results. Never go you will never know.

  18. Yes they just keep on asking me to buy this and that whatever. The first time I signed up for that was because of their RM25 promotion for 2 sessions with a travel pack. After the first treatment they asked me to purchase the RM688 package for 3 sessions. Next they kept on persuading me to sign up the the 15-session treatment. Later they told me that I need to increase the number and strength of my hair follicles so they asked me to buy Vit-pro drinks. Next they said my hair roots are deteriorating and I need to apply ampoules religiously. After compiling all the receipts, I realised that I have so far spent up to 5 figures on Jonsson Protein. Now I only left 4 out of 15 sessions and they're trying to get me to buy more hair growth ampoules which cost almost RM7000! I told them I have no more money. Moreover I'm still a student. I've overspent! Then they continued to say that they would give me a special student promotion. I feel that they're trying to scare me by saying that although I've grown so much hair the results are not stable yet, that's why I still need to buy more ampoules otherwise my hair will fall off again. What the heck? I've spent so much money and you tell me that nothing is stable yet?

  22. Hi all, I'm also a recent customer at JP at Lot 10, kl. I started off buying a 6 months session from them at 1 shot. Costing me RM8000++ inclusive of gst. Whatever you guys have mentioned here on your experience at JP, the same happens to me too.
    I hate the time-wasting sessions being kept in the consultation room after my hair treatment to be forced to listen to the hard selling consultants. Yes same thing, I told them I have no more budget & I am not intended to increase my budget for my hair growth. That Rm8000++ is what I intended to put in to see whether their products work on me. I'm now in my 2nd sessions, even since during my 1st session,they have started harassing me to buy Vit Pro which is RM290 per box. you need to drink this every day for the first 2 months and thus you required 2 boxes every month (15 sachets/box). After the first 2 months, you may reduce it to 1 sachet every 2 days. Meaning first 2 months I will need to pay RM580 for my Vit Pro drinks?! This amount of money I can pay for my rental or car loan. I kept pushing them away, and yet they can give you many options to make it easier for you to pay etc. I have the same doubts whether those baby hairs they show me are mine. And same trick, they will frightened you & exaggerate the issue if you dont take the Vit Pro, whatever babyhair they have helped you to grow will drop off etc etc.. and if you dont drink, your hair will be worse and later if u want to grow them again, not necessarily they will grow! How?? get worse? You mean your scalp treatments & hair growth masks which you have done for me & which I have paid RM8k++ for cant d anything without this Vit Pro? I wanted to tell them, fine, I do not want to drink Vit Pro, whatever it is, just finish my treatment for me & let me see the results. If it works, then I will continue further & buy your ridiculously expensive Vit Pro to drink at that time! at least show me some results first before trying so hard to squeeze money out of my pocket! Anyway, I am the customer, if i want to waste my RM8k now, so be it! this is my choice.
    Now i managed to escape 2 times (2 hair treatments session, they hard sell 2 times Vit Pro to me), let's see the 3rd time what else they can say.
    I think JP is too focused on squeezing money from their customers which in turn put us in pressure. We don't enjoy each treatment session when we go to the shop & see the consultants. This session should in fact be an enjoyable one where we can relax & enjoy to the fullest for what we have paid to them. Mind you, this is not a cheap saloon visit!
    So any hair growth treatments out there who is sincerely helping the customer on their hair concerns? If i were to pay them 1 time & they don't keep adding on my purchase to a bigger sum then I am more than happy with this type of shop. I heard Neeta Herbal is good too, but i dont know how much is their treatments. And, Neeta Herbal is using all natural herbal treatment. But at least, they have no products like Vit Pro which is consumable, so at least they have one less product to dig into our pockets.

    1. Do you really think the police in Malaysia can/will do anything? I can tell you I just recently lost my purse with GBP240 foreign currency inside at KLCC foodcourt, the newly-extended seating area just in front of the management office. Police asked me 'So what to do now?' when I reported to them saying the CCTV at KLCC can't capture the thief (due to their lousy recording, 5 mns recording 5 mins cut off, for the whole duration when I was there insid ethe CCTV recordings) but I have suspects.
      Mind you, I made 2 trips to the police station, lodged 2 police reports, have seen & talked to a sargeant & he told me this!
      Well, good luck to you if you were to report to police next time for anything like hair loss treatment center.

  25. oh luckily I turned them down on my first session of my 2-session trial for 25 ringgit at LOT10, Kuala Lumpur. Although it is just RM25, i felt totally wasted my day-off.
    Well i wasn't that convinced with what the consultant said. 1) Their products are specifically for scalp treatment and it does nothing on the hair protection and so on. So WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? After using your shampoo and conditioner, my hair will look like shit and have to use the other product and method to improve? If your company is so damn good, create something great for the scalp and the hair please. Not to mention, it's so God damnly expensive.
    2) Unprofessionalism - This is the 2-session trial. Why should you push me to buy your package on the first try. If you are really confident with your customer service and your products, cant you at least wait till the 2nd time I will be back. Anyway, this is the funny point. She told me as my pores are quite congested and dry on the surface, it needs several treatments to see the result. Then why did u have to waste my time to show me my pores after the first treatment. There goes the hardcore selling and being all so pushy. Cant understand why do you not wait till the 2nd consultation to show me how improve it will be and let me make up my mind then. Since I told her exactly and I said bluntly I need to check review on the website first before I decide, she started to rattle with her high pitch note. Oh my! Anyway, thank God I am free from your lousy unprofessional institution which I reckon wont be helpful after all.
    3) Guess what, she totally ignored me when I was out of the room and did not say anything else but with a black face. Haha. Will I come back another time. Hell NO!

      Why not try Neeta Herbal? RM3000++ for 14 masks & totally no hard selling.

      I might consider to do it there after I finish my treatment (7 masks to go) at Jonsson Protein.

    1. To be honest, I don't trust the authorities here. It's only wasting my time, see my reply to the comment above regarding making a police report.

      What I can do now is to reach out to people & share my experiences. I wish, not to stop people from buying the packages, but to share with them what I have gone through, so they can make their own judgement whether to take it up or not. It's all up to their decision.

Unfortunately I got hooked too, few tricks that I noticed. 1) You always scan your scalp in one room and when you are done, you are always taken to another room where your scalp looks miraculously better with just one session. 2) they catch your hair and count the drops in a metal net which some how's captures teeny tiny baby hair. I thought it was weird how they managed to count the number hairs in that bunch from the net, nicely separate baby hair with matured hair and cellophane them nicely to present to you within 15-20 mins while you steam your hair. It is possible that these were pre prepared according to hair colour/type and length to scare you to purchase top up packages.

  32. Hi there, I had just went to Jonsson's branch at One Utama, Selangor, Malaysia yesterday and I had signed up for their 2-X treatment trials after paying RM25. It was an awful experience and I won't ever want step foot into that horrendous place ever again. Most of the things that I had encountered there echoes similarly to what you had written here and also from what most users posted here.
    I was greeted by a very unprofessional staff. As I approached the counter and told them that I wanted a treatment they gave a disdainful look. The receptionist told me to sit on a nearby sofa. As I sat down a couple had also entered and told the receptionist they wanted a free treatment but they had not made any reservation. For some reason they were allowed in first before me despite I had made a reservation.
    After 20 minutes of waiting I was finally called in by a woman who could be very well be younger than me by at the very least, 10 years. However, throughout the entire the consultation with her, she treated me as if I am a child, often repeating the sentences "Engkau faham?" (You understand?) and "I hope that you understand this...". Not only was this unnecessary, it was also demeaning! She definitely drove me up the wall. Deep in my heart I wanted "inform" her that I had graduated from a prestigious institute in France but I didn't. Don't want to waste my time with someone like her, I was there for the treatment.

  33. Later I was told to sign a contract. I studied it carefully and found a very very suspicious sentence stating that by signing it I agree that there is there is currently no drugs in the market today that can promote hair growth and reduce hair loss the treatment that is provided at the place is merely cosmetic in nature. This rang many alarm bells but I'd decided to go on with the treatment anyway, just for curiosity's sake. I was led by my consultant deep inside the branch and into the treatment area.
    Meanwhile, while waiting for the lady to wash my hair another man came inside the room. She was offered a cup of tea, then I realised that everyone had a cup of tea on their table but not me. A few minutes later a nice female staff came in. I believed she might just be the only one who is nice there. After she washed my hair and put the treatment cream on my scalp she left the room for about 45 minutes.
    Meanwhile, an older gentleman was sitting beside me. He too was signed up for the trial treatments. He had a small chat with his consultant in Cantonese. Later after she left he came to me and told me his conversation. He said that the lady told him that the company is not really from the United States of America and that this "might be a big fraud". As our conversation ended he whispered to me, "I don't like it here". Later the friendly female employee came back and washed by hair again, as I approached my chair to my horror that so called consultant came in and told me that she was going to apply serum on my scalp. She was really rough with my head. Rather than rubbing my scalp with the serum she was more or less scrapping it.
    After it all I was sent back into the consultation room with that "witch". I had asked her what was the problem with my hair but she gave me a reply which borders more on her embarrassingly crude understanding of science rather than actual scientific information. She kept on repeating the word "protein" again and again like a kindergarten teacher to a student with learning disability. Later she realised that I was loosing patience with her and attempted to pressure me into paying for the full treatment for 3 months which costs around RM6,000. I told her that it was not even the second trial yet and I'd prefer to make the decision after my second treatment is done. However, she retorted back and asked why I'd wanted to make my decision then and not now. Later she told that she is willing to give a 50% discount on treatments for 3 months if I pay there and then, on the spot. I told her again my reason and she made counteroffer of a lifetime membership card costing RM200. This time I put my foot down. She took out a hair travel kit for me as what was promised to me when I had signed up for the two treatments.
    She sent me back to the treatment room again to have my hair blown dry, no body was bothered to comb it for me. I was left inside the room unattended, I did not know where I should proceed from there on so I walked outside to the reception. There the "witch" appeared and spoke something in Cantonese which made a Chinese customer stare at her in disbelief. Only God knows what is inside that heart of her's, provided that if she even have a heart. She flung opened the glass door and did not made sure it remained opened, forcing me to make a rather disgraceful exit. I never want to go to that place again. I'm pretty sure that the gentlemen who was sitting beside me in the treatment room might also do just that.

    Today is my last 5th visits as I have left with 5 more scalp+hair growth masks to do at their centre. After the last time when they hard sell a very expensive cooling masks to me, which requires me to top up an additional rm1000, they have 'given up' on me as a customer whom they can squeeze out more money from, as I had rejected them totally and told them I won't fork out a single cent more to top up my original purchase. I can tell you, the 2 times of my visits after I rejected to buy the cooling masks, they didn't bring me into the consultation room anymore after my treatments. I used to be invited into the room & having to listen to their hard sell for 30-40mins each time I finished my treatment. My visit usually is close to 3 hours and now I can leave within 2 hours! So efficient.
    Today, during my supposed-to-be 5th visit, before even I began my treatment, the consultant bring me into the room & tell me something-well, they always come up with different tactics which I'm quite numb towards it now. She came up with a plan for me again, she showed me I have 5 more treatments to go. She told me she has proposed to the company to change my 4 hair growth treatment masks into 2 cooling hair growth masks, and 1 scalp mask into 1 hair cooling mask. She said since I really need the cooling mask, she proposed I do it in this way. Well, previously she told me I have to do minimum of 5 cooling hair growth masks to see my oily scalp condition improve, now with this 2 masks I really doubt what effect she wants me to feel during my near-to-the-end hair treatment journey. Since the last visit (this is after I have turned them down with further top up to my initial purchase), she has suggested me to do double masks at 1 visit. She suggested the same thing to me again today. How me as a consumer feel is, since now I'm not the potential 'profit-growing' customer, they want to faster get rid of me. Maybe they feel I'm wasting their time now that I'm coming to an end of my treatment & I'm not willing to spend more. By the way, for your info, cooling hair growth masks is the 2nd level of hair growth which is seen to be more powerful than normal hair growth masks, that's why the value is so high in this system barter she has proposed to me. I wanted to reject at first, coz I strongly sensed their intention behind is just to get rid of me fast. But, I feel that when they don't have the heart & passion to serve you anymore, there's no point to stay & being 'mis-treated'.
    Why did I say mistreated? I realised the visits after I've rejected them on the cooling masks, the consultant who serve me always make me wait for her. Just like today, at the beginning of the treatment, I have to wait 15mins in their treatment saloon for her while she's busy tidying up stuff etc. After my 1st mask is completed, (this comes with a steaming process like how normal hair saloon steam our hair), when the steamer beeps, she didn't even attend to me. Her colleague came to remove the steamer. Again, I sit there waiting for 15-20mins again for her to attend to me. This never happen to me before I rejected to buy the cooling masks. I'm very dissatisfied with how insincere they serve their customers. They're not there to help you with your problem, their interest is only just to suck out more money from you. I hope the rest of you out there don't get into this situation like me, don't listen to FM988 advert & come to them & got hooked into it like me.

  35. I am beyond disgusted with Jonsson Protein.

    They have been pestering me for months to go attend their free trial (which I "won" from some radio contest but lost interest after I did my research and heard about their hard-selling tactics).

    I checked and the woman that had been pestering me non-stop is from the Sun Plaza outlet. Initially I refused politely but was told that the management has been asking her why I am the "only one" who has not redeemed the trial (bullshit) and that if I don't wish to go for the trial I must recommend another friend to go for it (even more bullshit).

    I got annoyed but told her that I will try to get another friend to go for it. In the end, my friend said she had already gone before and was not interested, so I decided to just let it be and hope that they would stop calling me.

    But you know what? It's been 2-3 months since they started pestering me and they still have not stopped. The woman even had the cheek to call me and tell me off today for not redeeming the free trial - claiming again that I am the "only one" who has not redeemed their free trial.

    She was really sarcastic and even said, "I thought you said you will call your friend to come?"

    Anyway, I got so angry and frustrated with how they have been pestering me and treating me that I decided to just tell her off once and for all.

    It has been an awful experience and it was terrible to be constantly receiving these calls and getting pressured to do something that I did not wish to do.

    So let this be a lesson for all: DO NOT entertain any marketing promotions from Jonnson Protein if not you will be badgered and bullied and pestered till no end.

    I reply to this Ads and the recruiter name is cindy is from Euro Group.. A Employ Agency and when i ask what is jonsson protein and she tell me if i know yun nam and said they all belong to the same management and a lot of unconvincing nonsense and lies(after i read up this post).

    As the salary offered look fishy which is like those scam job, I google jonsson protein and see this post. WTH then i research I realize that Euro Group is the managing these beauty shops and why it need to have this Euro Group to hire people? Seem they need many people to hard sell packages and product so no wonder when i ask about the basic salary which is low, she keep tell me commission very high and easy to earn. I left without feeling pissed and angry... their operation is as good as black shop.

  39. I just went to do trial at Mid valley outlet. The person who attended to me was Yuki. Quite pleasant, didn't try to hard sell me once I told her that the package is too expensive. But once I was done with everything, on the pretext of "teaching" me how to use the free travel kit, I was made to wait in the consultation room and another staff came in (slightly older and introduced herself as the package rep) really tried to hard sell me the packages and even made me remarks to suggest that I wasn't actually interested to take care of my hair but just wanted to get my hair done for free! And I told her just that! I kept a firm no to every single discount she was offering me and told her that I was done and as expected, her facial expression changed completely and she was no longer wearing that smile she had earlier on. Funny how these people operate in Malaysia. What makes them think that we owe them our hard earned ringgit? I wasn't gonna try to appease the situation so I just said my thanks and left. Nways key word here people...keep on maintaining a firm NO and they'll eventually stop. It's not like there's a gun pointed to our head anyway. Be a smart consumer. Don't be too gullible.

She agreed that they do not take responsibility for what was said by another conaultant and actually accused my consultant of being irresponsible. I know my consultant better than the manager and that is no way to treat your employees or customers. I witdrew all my sessions and exchanged them for products. But mine was at the westgate branch. Never coming back

I have been went to there to have the first trial, after the treatment I was brought to a consultation room and they introduce the 3 months treatment which cost around RM5,000. The consultant said that this is the discount price offered to first trial customer and must sign within 2 hours, which means after 2 hours the discounted package is no longer available. I felt being forced to sign the package and without time to let me consider about it. After sign the package, I came for second session. As the same, after treatment they bring me into a consultation room. They show me the baby hair fall and ask me to buy the vit pro drinks which cost around RM 2,000. I felt being cheated to sign the package at the first time and never end to spend money for this treatment. I rejected them and they drag me a few hours, they r not willing to let me leave without buy the drinks. However, I insist not to buy. In the third visit, they still ask me to buy the drinks and I feel irritated. Just wonder that how much package I need to sign again and how many products i need to buy again.

  44. They took my fallen hair from after shampooing and later separated into 2 groups - long hair and baby hair, and pasted it on a report. I am very suspicious that the 40+ fine baby hair is really, coz i usually gather my fallen hair everytime after shower and i only see long hair.

  45. I’ve went for the complimentary treatment today and the hard selling was fuuyoh. They would do anything for money, telling me that I can make money decisions on my own and don’t need my mum’s consent etc. Asking me to put down $10 and if I decided not to take on the $300 for 3 sessions ON THE DAY ITSELF ONLY PACKAGE then I could top up additional money to get things like shampoo and stuff. Basically once you put any amount of down payment, it’s the end for you. I managed to get away with it and still received the complimentary products. Although after 1 wash my dandruff were gone and the results were satisfying but due to the fact that their products contain harmful chemicals from sulfates, perfume to parabens, I’ve decided it is not worth it : /

  46. My advice use coconut oil and massage ur head everyday, should be ok. Try it and it takes 5 to 6 months to see the difference and sometime oily head and a bit oily hand and face, but it is worth it, and natural God given and cheaper..

  47. I'm a Johnson Protein customer based in IOI Puchong, Malaysia branch. I made an appointment a week earlier for 26th December 2016, 14:00 pm for my scalp treatment and hair cut. On 26/12/16, 08:55, I received a personal note from a consultant (Timmy Chai) stating that she has another client booked at 13:00 and needs 2 hours to complete. She added, she will try her best to get her colleague to have my treatment done. Obligingly, I said fine and I'll drop by 14:30 instead so I don't have to wait for too long. When I arrived with my 3 year old child, there's no one care to even ensure that I'm taken care off from service perspective. I struggled through the door with my child in the stroller. There's 2 girls at the counter just looking at how I pushed the door with one hand and pushed the stroller with another without helping. Then, I was told to wait after Timmy Chai checked my scalp. I waited for another 15 minutes before I get the beginning of my treatment. After my hair wash, ampouse and steaming session, Timmy Chai was no where to be seen again. Another colleague of hers came to me and said Timmy Chai is not available and I'll help blow dry your hair. I politely reminded her that I have pre-booked a hair cut as well for today. Then she replied saying that I'll have to wait. I waited for more than 30 minutes. I was still not attended to until 16:00 pm. I got upset and checked with another staff how long do I have to wait this time. Immediately, Timmy Chai came out from somewhere and was ready to cut my hair.

    My point here is, I have been Johnsson Protein customer since May 2015. Their selling strategy is to scare and threaten stating that if you don't follow their suggested instructions you'll go bald in no time. When one has used up half of the package, their'll come up with another promotional package to attract customer to purchase and normally it will be a little lower priced compare to the first time purchased with some free sessions. When customer decline to purchase and continue, they will put you at non-priotize customer list. When an appointment is requested, one will always be put aside until they have served all other new customers.

    I urge the public to be very careful with any fancy promotional packages. Make a thorough research and ask around for opinion before diving into an expensive package.

    I am a Starhub customer, They got my number from running promotion with Starhub. I requested appointment on Saturday but the operator insisted to come on Thursday as some specialist was visiting their place in Tiong Bahru.
    I agreed and visited Johnson Protein. Had scalp cleansing session which she said is worth S$270.
    I thought so costly yet they give as compensation.
    It was good can see clear reduction in dandruff after the session.
    Final offer was 3 session for 388 with 188 free product extra.
    It might be a over bargain. I managed to get complementary gift of shampoo conditioner and lotion. And protein shake mix.
    It was good experience, sales person was not pushy to enroll.

    Thanks to Jonsson Protein for free soon and product. If you really need hairI guess one with friendly staff is better.

I have the same experience at Jonsson Plaza Sing :(. 1st trial hardsell, but coz I was so panicking about my thinning hair, I took a package 10 treatment, then only after going through 2 session they tried to hardsell again, when the 1st one failed to convinced me then she will give sign to other staff, she called as her supervisor and with her approval gave more discount and extra session. until I fed up and gave up, then I took the 2nd package for nutrient. I told them I dont want them to sell me anything anymore until I finish all my sessions. they are agreed. Stupid me, that didnt happen. the next visit they tried to sell me package again, for hairgrowth, else all my treatment are useless!! I'm very upset and ask them, so all my money I paid is for nothing??!!
    They tried to comfort me, "oh not like that, and gave me lot of excuse and explain things till I headache!
    Told them to stop as they make me so stress. I just want to finish the session. Until I managed to checkout, they are still trying up to the checkout counter!! Gosh!!!
    I feel want to gave up the session , dun feel want to come again, but I have paid lot money! *crying*

  55. After a free trial, I'm forced to signed up for a package treatment for 1600 + 1500. For both scalp cleansing and scalp masking respectively. Initially I bought a 10 sessions(SGD 1600) of Scalp cleansing and immediately, I could see the result of unblocked pore when they brought me to a room. However.. after the result, I was offered another 10 sessions of Scalp masking treatment which costs around SGD2000+, but I keep on rejecting. The consultant name is called Crystal. And she said she's the branch manager there. (Note that this Jonsson Protein is located at CCK lot one) . Soon Crystal said she will be back and left the room.. I secretly recorded down our conversation (lol). She headed back into the room, and said she had managed to cut down the price of the masking and gave me 5 FREE hair growth masking. In the end, after a struggled of 1 hour, I gave in and signed up for that masking as well. A total of SGD 3100.. paid instalment of 12 months.

    Continued with this saga, after 3 treatment, and this lady (Stephanie) was washing my hair and said she noticed my baby hair was falling. I was thinking like wth, wtf you did to my hair. And she recommended I buy this Ampoules gold treatment which cost 10 small bottles for SGD 3000. After Stephanie couldn't persuade me to buy the bottles, Crystal stepped in. She said how about I took the rest of the Scalp masking, making it a total of 20 sessions, with additional month cost of SGD120, they will give me 5 FREE bottles. (Notice the key word is FREE again) . I was told they could see hope in my scalp and wanted to help me. I politely rejected her offers by telling them that I'll re-considered it after my 5 FREE hair growth masking. I got away with it. I haven't really go back to the shop for 2 weeks. Can I just cancel my contract and pay some penalty?

    I am also a protein customer.. their service are terrible. their aim is just to get you pay more and more package. I started with hair lost.. later turn into other problem. now is inflammation. each package they pushed and forced you to buy is $5000 and above. I have spent $10,000 there. but problem is not solved. end up more problem happen.

    end up I seems to have new problem everytime I enter the consulation room.

    This center is terrible. Please don't buy anymore from them. Now I have to get my skin thicker then them so I can finish my package

    1. Chanced upon this blog and I realized the sales tactics are really the same in general. Getting more than one person to talk to you or utilizing another colleague's voucher to give you a better price etc. I've also spent a lot of money and many times I felt really forced into getting the more expensive package as they made my condition sound so bad. I mean, I am definitely concerned about my hair loss so hearing all these negative reports just makes everything worse. I'm trying to finish up my packages but it seems like a never ending cycle here. Am super glad to have found this post and seeing all these comments!

  64. Managed to find this post after my unpleasant session with them at the Dhoby Ghaut branch. I've signed up a package with them since 2016 and is just a few sessions away before I am finally done with them (it seems long because I stopped going in between when I was pregnant). Since I'm nearing the end of my package, the hard selling gets more aggressive now.

    I was told that my scalp was red and sensitive 2 sessions before, and it became dry the last session and today they told me my scalp is really oily and oil is clogging up my pores. I guess they used the same tactic as few of you have mentioned above - they collected the bunch of hair that fell while washing my hair and showed me a piece of paper with hair pasted on it, separating normal hair and baby hair, saying I need to upgrade my package to clear the clogged oil otherwise all my sessions would be wasted (I spent close to SGD 3700). They showed me scans of the hair roots for the hair collected and I wasn't even sure if those belong to me. I refused to take on the proposed additional session and after awhile, another consultant came in to continue with the hardselling.

    They initially quoted SGD 3600 for 10 sessions with 5 "free" ampoules as home care and said I should visit every week to see results and it was because I only visit once every 4 weeks which was why I couldn't see the results I want. Crazy isn't it? 1 session costs $360 x 4 times per month. It would mean spending 1440 a month! I told them I'm not topping up anymore as after spending all the money my condition wasn't getting any better. In fact I feel that my crown area is thinning I can't help but to wonder if going for their treatment is doing my scalp any harm or not.

    The hardselling was endless until I asked if they could wash the treatment off my hair (yes, I sat in the consultation room for close to 30 mins with my hair wrapped). That was when I finally get "released". Now, I can't wait to complete the remaining sessions and never step in again.

  68. I went last month n was told i got demodex on my scalp. Years of experience told me not to believe advertisement / promo easily(rm25 for 2 treatment n products). So i reserve n told the salesman i can only descide on my next visit.
    After walked out from the shop, i quickly search lab in klang valley that can perform walk in study for my scalp. To my dismay, none of the lab i called can help. So i bought from online a microscope 2400x enough to see 0.8mm microorganism. Less than 1 week the things arrive. I did the research taking many samples from my scalp but never even meet any demodex on my scalp. WTH!

    I believe its their marketing strategic to use others hair to magnify ur hair problem. I also know from my experience that the demodex i saw at the consultant room is not belong to me!!!

    Bro n sis, dont b scared by the comment giving by the consultants. Their biz nature is to con ppl to believe their lies.

It all sounded fishy to me and i dont 100% believe that the sample they show me in the room was from my scalp!
